Loretta West

Loretta began her physical therapy career in outpatient orthopedics with HEALTHSOUTH in Beachwood, Ohio where she met Rob Tillman, PT, MOMT, and Leon Anderson III, PT, MOMT. These expert physical therapists clinically mentored Loretta and introduced her to manual therapy and the Ola Grimsby Institute (OGI). Loretta graduated from Ohio State University in 1997 where she finished an internship with the university’s Sports Medicine Center. There, she gained firsthand experience in the rehabilitation and conditioning of elite athletes, which peaked her interest in orthopedics. In 2001, Loretta earned a Bachelor’s degree in physical therapy from Cleveland State University. She was the second African American female to graduate from CSU’s physical therapy program.

Loretta is currently working on her clinical Doctorate of physical therapy through OGI and will continue pursuing higher education by enrolling in OGI’s 2008 Fellowship residency program in Little Rock.

Loretta’s other professional interests include Women’s Health and Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) dysfunction.
