Derek Lagemann Derek Lagemann co-instructs the Ola Grimsby Institute’s (OGI) 2008 Fellowship residency in Little Rock. Derek was introduced to OGI and manual therapy by Rob Tillman PT, MOMT, in 2002 while working for HEALTHSOUTH. Rob, a Level II Manual Therapist and a professor with OGI, became Derek’s mentor while Derek was enrolled in the residency program. Since 2004, Derek and Rob have worked together at Ortho Rehab. Derek received his Bachelor’s degree in physical therapy from Maryville University in 2001 and, upon graduation, worked in Missouri and Arkansas in outpatient physical therapy departments. After two years in the physical therapy field, Derek enrolled in OGI’s post graduate residency program, completing the Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) residency in 2004. He enrolled in the Chicago, Illinois residency in 2005 where he became one of 450 physical therapists in the United States and the first in Arkansas to earn a Fellowship degree from the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists (FAAOMPT). Derek completed his three year residency with OGI by finishing the Doctorate of Manual Therapy (DMT) program in Seattle, Washington and is currently conducting research in order to complete his DMT degree. |
